A quick word from a caregiver…
Many people ask me why I do what I do. My guess is because they perceive my job to take a lot of time, which it does. And that’s a good thing.
One of the best things about being a caregiver is spending time with people who have more experience and knowledge than I do. The amount I can learn is astonishing. Not only through the wisdom shared in our conversations, but also through the act of being of service. It provides a unique way to get real perspective on life.
I’m thankful everyday for the person I’ve been molded into through being a caregiver.
My name is Kerry Bloedorn. And I’m a caregiver who cares.
Kerry Bloedorn works at Helping Hands Senior Homecare Services, where he recently won Caregiver of the Year.
