Motivo hires Michael C. Lenzie as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

Lenzie to expand company’s manufacturing capabilities to meet increasing customer demand

MILWAUKEE— September 11, 2018— Motivo, Inc., a company dedicated to enhancing independence through design, today announced it has hired Michael C. Lenzie as its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Lenzie will be charged with leading the company’s manufacturing ramp up due to increasing customer demand since the recent launch of its new 2018 Motivo Tour® Walker, a family of rolling walkers that reduces back and neck pressure by 60 percent through a revolutionary upright walking design that sets it apart from any other mobility device. Lenzie will be based in the company headquarters in New Berlin, Wis. and will also oversee all accounting, supply chain and production for the company.

“Hiring Michael represents yet another important growth milestone for Motivo,” said Jeremy Knopow, co-founder, Motivo. “I am confident Michael’s wealth of knowledge and extensive experience will be instrumental to the company’s in-house manufacturing, operations, and accounting strategy and will help us grow to meet market demand.”

“I am extremely inspired by the Motivo mission and look forward to helping the company grow,” said Michael Lenzie, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Motivo. “Our customers have demonstrated significant interest in the Tour and I am excited to help the Motivo team ramp up production. Immediate growth plans include expanding our manufacturing capabilities and hiring additional employees to keep up with consumer demand.”

Before joining Motivo, Lenzie served in various management roles at several industrial companies including NABCO Entrances, Inc., Aqua-Chem, Inc., and Cleaver-Brooks Inc. where he led strategic planning, change management, acquisitions and divestitures, risk management and process improvement. Lenzie is a certified public accountant and received his MBA from Marquette University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Inspired by the needs of family members, Motivo’s product designer co-founders, Jeremy Knopow and Jennifer Harris, identified an unmet demand in the market for new innovative mobility products designed for people’s lives, not just their medical conditions. With a broad patent portfolio recently independently valued at approximately $65M, the Motivo Tour® dramatically enhances the quality of life for the user and sets it apart from any other mobility device on the market.
